Poster Competition

Design a poster on the theme of ‘Expressing India through typography’

Participants are expected design a poster to express any Indian theme through the use of letterforms only. You can use letterforms in English and any Indian Script. Calligraphic or digitally created letterforms or existing fonts, or a combination of these can be used for the poster.

The resulting poster should be of the size and specification given below. This competition is open to students, faculty and professionals. The competition is open to all. Non resident Indians, as well as foreign citizens can take part in it.

Procedure for selecting student participants: 
Twenty five winning entries will be published and the winners are entitled to free participation (workshop expenses and food) during the ‘Typography Seminar and Workshop’ from 3rd to 5th of March 2011. 
 
Submission Specifications:
 
You need to submit the solution along with a brief write-up of around 150 words. 

Size of the final poster: 420 mm x 600 mm either in portrait or landscape format. 
Resolution: 300 dpi
Filetype: JPEG or PDF
Colour Mode: CMYK 
Write up about the design: Maximum 150 words (in RTF, TXT or PDF format).

Deadline for submission: 15th December 2010
Deadline for submission (Extended): 10th January 2011  
Declaration of results: 30th January 2011
