Abstract: Indian Scripts are not just visually different from the Latin script but also distinctly different from each other. Each of them has their own distinct forms, features, taraits and traditions. The workshop will include understanding the varied visual aspects of different scripts, points to consider while designing
multi-script brand identities.

About Instructor:
Ek Type is a Type Foundry and a Design Studio, based in Mumbai. Started by Sarang Kulkarni in the year 2005, the company has steadily found its niche in multi-lingual branding, type design and calligraphy. A collective of type designers, the WhiteCrow team focuses on creating customised typefaces in all India scripts - Devanagari, Bangla, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gurmukhi, Meitei Mayek (Manipuri), Oriya and Urdu, along with the Latin script.
